Jacob Shaw

Jacob began his career in lithium-ion battery fire testing with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory. He facilitated a wide array of cell, module, and unit fire tests per both UL 9540A and CSA C800 test methodologies. He also worked with experts from the energy storage industry to determine best practices for large-scale fire test report writing and data presentation. Jacob subsequently moved on to work as a compliance engineer for a utility-scale battery energy storage system manufacturer, working to write test plans, coordinate and oversee fire testing, and review fire permitting documentation.
